Naymz - Online Networking for Professionals

Naymz is an innovative online Professional Reputation Network that lets you maximize professional oppurtunities by establishing and promoting your good name online. By joining Naymz, a user can create a profile page which is filled with personal credentials and information that the user wants others to find while searching online. The site uses a "Rep Score" to valuate your reputation. Inviting other Naymz users to give you an online reference increases your Rep Score, among other things.

Once you build your profile, Naymz will do everything possible to make sure it is found throughout the Web. In addition to regular search engine placement, users get premium placement of their name in Google if they maintain a Rep Score of 9 or better (on a scale from 1 to 10).

Online Trust and Identity Issues

References are one of the main ways to boost your reputation online, but Naymz believed that if they could provide personal identity verfication to their users, this would further promote the user's reputation. In addtion, Naymz wanted to take this one step further and provide the ability for user's to show they have a clear criminal background check as another means of boosting the online trust for users.

By adding these two capabilities, Naymz would offer a reputation network where users could feel confident that the people they were intefacing wth were really who they said they were.

Identity Solution

Naymz partnered with Trufina to provide their users with personal identity verification and background check services. Users, if they elect, can request that their name, city, and state be verified. Users who complete the identity verificaiton process have a Trufina verified seal place on their Naymz profile page and receive additional Rep Score points. And then, the user can elect to add a criminal background check to their profile. The Trufina Verified Background seal is now shown and additional Rep Score points awarded.

Outcome

Now, Naymz users who verify their identities and perform criminal background checks receive a higher Rep Score which further promotes their online reputation, thereby maximizing their professional opportunities.

From a business perspective, Naymz realizes the many benefits to using Trufina's ID Server API. First, integration of the API was very simple and efficient; going from design to production in two man weeks. Additionally, Naymz found the API's Criminal Classsifications extremely useful since they didn't want to develop their own classifictation system.
