What is your Internet Identity?
We use a variety of items from driver's licenses to social security cards to establish and maintain our identities. Different forms of identification are used in different situations, whether it’s offering proof of legal age (driver’s license) establishing citizenship (passport) or asserting the ability to work (social security card).
Your Internet Identity takes this concept to the Internet. It offers a way for individuals to assert their identities, reputations and credentials. Trufina is a provider of verified, secure online identification that may be used across the Internet.
There are a number of emerging technologies which support online identity management including reputation providers, authentication services, and verification services. Additionally companies such as Microsoft, IBM/Novell, and OpenID, are working on ways of securely exchanging identity information online.
We have plans to implement both OpenID and Cardspace, offering additional ways for our users to share their verified information. Now that OpenID 2.0, has been finalized, we will be adopting it, and its related extensions. Cardspace, is highly secure, and supports OpenID, and we are very excited about this technology and its potential implications for online identity and empowering users to share their identity in more useful ways. Please stay tuned for more information or contact us for specific information or comments.
