What is a Trufina Identity Card?

You carry multiple forms of identification in your wallet such as a driver's license, credit cards, frequent shopper cards, business and membership cards.  Each one is used in different situations, professional and personal.  Trufina has taken this concept online.

When you sign up for Trufina, you can create distinct identity cards for different situations.  Each card provides verified information about you, but you control which information is revealed and where.  For example, on a social networking site you may want to let someone know your age, but not your home address.  Or for a job application you may want to provide a verified address without revealing your age.

How do I correct identification information in my Trufina member profile?

If you've recently moved or changed your name, we suggest that you update your state driver’s license and your credit cards first.  Once this information is updated, you can renew your Trufina identification information.  This will re-verify all your essential data.  If you believe there is incorrect data that is not due to a recent change in where you reside or your name, then you should contact Member Support and tell us about it. The Trufina Member Support team will send you instructions on how to take steps to identify issues and correct your data.  Please note that depending on the type of data error, you may be requested to make direct inquiries with specific public records companies, such as credit reporting agencies, your local Social Security Administration office, or other data providers.

How can I protect my information from being seen by others?

Absolutely!  Trufina ID Cards are designed to be portable and can be used across the Internet.  You can ask members of sites like MySpace, Facebook or eBay to provide you access to verified identification information via their Trufina ID Cards.  Likewise, you can share your Trufina ID cards with them as proof of your own identification information.
