Java Web Application Software Engineer

Trufina is looking for a talented Java web application developer to be a critical member of the team creating Trufina's web based products.  We are seeking a professional individual with experience developing commercial quality Java web applications. The candidate should possess a strong background in object-oriented design, Java programming language, web services, and be very familiar with the full software development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years experience developing Java applications
• 3+ years experience developing Java web applications
• Strong Object Oriented design and programming skills
• Development experience on: Linux, Unix, Windows
• A self-starter with the ability to drive tasks to completion
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent)

Also Requested

• Experience programming in Java and J2EE, JDBC, JSPs, and Servlets
• Experience working with Internet/web technologies and languages, such as web browsers, HTTP, HTML, and JavaScript
• Experience developing applications using web services (XML-RPC, SOAP, UDDI, and WSDL)
• Experience working with SQL and relational database structures
• Experience with Apache, JBoss, Eclipse, MySql, and CVS desirable
• Experience working with at least one scripting language, such as Perl, Python or PHP
• Experience with system security
• Experience with network management and/or security applications
• Experience in a startup or other high-growth, fast-changing business

Compensation
Salary is very competitive and is commensurate with experience. Compensation also includes bonus opportunities, and equity.

This position is based in the Washington Metro Area.
